The Payroll Office will automatically deduct a certain amount of pre-tax income for benefits. These pre-tax benefits include:

• Medical
• Dental
• MCAP (medical savings plan)
• DCAP (dependent care savings plan)

Benefit Statements

Members of the State of Illinois Group Insurance Program may now view their group insurance benefits information online. Online statements are updated the first Saturday of each month. The benefit information reflected is as of the first of the month.

After-Tax Deductions

You can also choose to deduct additional after-tax income for certain benefits, including:

• Supplemental life insurance
• Accidental Death/Dismemberment insurance
• Prudential (disability insurance)
• Dependant life insurance

Parking

Parking permits are available from ISU Parking and the expense of a parking permit can be deducted from your pay automatically. Parking deductions are made from your pay pre-tax.
